We created this space with a simple belief: beauty doesn’t fade with time—it becomes more interesting. More honest. More textured. More you. RUST was born from that idea and shaped by the people who cared enough to bring it to life.

As the team behind Onyx + Aura, we’ve spent years building a beauty studio in Pittsburgh that values craft, comfort, and connection. When the opportunity came to create something new and something deeper, we partnered with Briana Cisneros, whose artistry and education have inspired artists around the world. Together, we imagined a beauty house experience rooted in skill, care, and genuine transformation.

To bring that vision into physical form, we collaborated with renowned interior designer, Leanne Ford, whose eye for design and instinct for emotion turned our ideas into a living, breathing space. She helped us shape RUST into a place that feels warm, grounded, and beautifully imperfect—just like the concept behind it.

RUST isn’t about chasing perfection or erasing time. It’s about honoring the marks, stories, and experiences that shape who we are.
It’s a house built on craft, ritual, and respect for the slow evolution of beauty.
